Board Meeting DRAFT MINUTES
April 29th, 2009

The meeting, held at the Recreation Center on James Street, Ulster PA, was called to order following the Biennial Meeting.

Attending: Laura Hewitt, Cathy Cook, Krissy Pruyne, Carolyn Knapp, Sheri Whipple, Sheryl Cobb, Andy Bishop, and Jennifer Vandegrift.

Nominations to the Board of Directors:
A Hewitt / Vandegrift motion was passed naming Cathy Cook as President.

A Cook / Knapp motion was passed naming Laura Hewitt as Treasurer.

A Hewitt / Knapp motion was passed naming Krissy Pruyne as Vice President.

A Hewitt / Vandegrift motion was passed to leave the Secretary position open.

L. Hewitt nominated Joan Malolly (not present) for Auditing Director, no second was made.

Andy Bishop offered to donate auditing services. A Knapp / Cobb motion was passed to accept Andy Bishop's offer.

The Board discussed the possibilities of creating an Activities Coordinator Board position, and Activities Committee. The position would include the coordination of all volunteers, party planning, and coordination of all other activities/fundraising held for or by the Recreation Center.

Laura Hewitt announced the May Township meeting would included discussion regarding the Recreation Center's budget, and urged members to attend.

A Cobb / Cook motion was passed to determine that the last skate night of the season would be held Friday May 15.

A Hewitt / Cobb motion was passed to approve a $250 Budget for the concert in the park, with an additional $50 for concession, and immediate appointment of activity planning, Shari Whipple abstained her vote.

A Cook / Vandegrift motion was passed to hold the next meeting on May 19 at 6:30 p.m.

A Pruyne / Cobb motion was passed to close the meeting at approx. 9:30 p.m.
